We are a dynamic, aggressive, and technically-solid team of 11 outside salespeople and two inside salespeople. In business since 1954 (as Richard Purinton, Inc.) and with the same strong family leadership, we understand OEMs in this marketplace who typically design in our regions and manufacture elsewhere.

We are zealous in finding new business - selling on principles of integrity, value, and quality. Our success has no secret formula. We purposefully bring principals into a close relationship with our customers, and provide customers with superior support. Our best commercial is the trusted, long-term relationships we have with principals. We are proud to be a part of their teams!



Spencer Purinton
President

Spencer joined RPI in 1981 when he began to co-manage the company with his father, Richard, and he has since been developing accounts for 28 years. Before joining the company and shortly after earning a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, Spencer established an electronics manufacturer's representative firm in Puerto Rico. Spencer eventually transferred daily management of Isla Caribe Sales to his business partner in order to join and run RPI full time. Spencer brings a constant, energized connection to our team, our principals, and our customers. When not trying to keep up with his fast-paced co-workers, he is busy as a father of three rambunctious daughters.

Mark Bushell
Vice President and Account Executive

Mark joined RPI in 1991 after working for Raychem Corporation for seven years as a sales engineer in New England. As our Vice President, Mark is exuberant, effortlessly positive, and has trigger-like responsiveness. Prior to Raychem, he was on active duty in U.S. Air Force, working as a development and test engineer with the E3A AWACS Wing in Oklahoma City. His first USAF assignment was at the USAF Academy in various roles as assistant varsity football coach, cadet physical education instructor, and Academy sports recruiter. He is an honor graduate of the Air Force Academy and a three year football letterman. Mark also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.

  • Best kept secret: I'm getting taller and the hair is coming back (and no, the meds are not influencing my perception of reality.)
  • Favorite vacation spots: northern Florida, central Illinois, Bologna Italy
  • On my bucket list: Visit China, Alaska, Israel, Egypt, & Iraq; Compete in 100m freestyle Master's Swimming and 200m sprints in USA Track & Field - and not have to alert the paramedics; Make another solo freefall - but with one of those cool rectangular chutes; Rebuild a 1974-ish TR6; do a carrier landing (maybe only once but I'll take it).
  • Hope to learn next: constellation identification; what's new in physics since 1980; in-depth review of US history 1750-1850;
  • Community/volunteer involvement: I'm part of a team organized by our church to help single/elderly/divorced women with home projects. I also work as the cheap labor "Move it over there guy" for a biannual adoption church fair with the NH State Foster Home Organization.

Jessica Long
Account Executive and Electrical Engineer

Jessica joined RPI in 2003. She previously worked as the director of customer program managers at Flextronics and as a program manager and a technical liaison at Sanmina/Hadco. Prior to her contract manufacturing experience, she worked in engineering positions at Cabletron and Digital Equipment Corporation. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine and has completed several courses toward an M.B.A.

  • Best kept secret - Shawnee Peak Ski Area - an excellent secret!
  • Favorite vacation spots - Any place with mountains and/or oceans and good wine.
  • On my bucket list - Finish the New England 100 Highest, learn to Telemark ski, visit Iceland & Egypt, travel to China to show Maeve her birthplace, collect sea glass from all four oceans, participate in an architectural dig
  • Hope to learn next - how to speak a little Mandarin, snowboard, and cook
  • Community/volunteer involvement - I help to organizes a free summer concert series in So. Berwick, ME. I pick up litter when I run. I hope to become more involved when we settle in one location and bring our daughter home from China

Joyce McGrail
Account Executive

Joyce joined RPI in 1996 after RPI merged with Apex Associates. She began working with Apex Associates in 1984 after eight years of industry experience in purchasing and materials management. Joyce worked with AB Dick as a purchasing manager and Analogic Corporation as a corporate commodity manager for electronic packaging. She also worked in procurement at Honeywell and Davox in their electronic components divisions. Joyce continues to develop relationships with major accounts north of Boston and also in southern New Hampshire and in Maine. Joyce earned a Bachelor of Arts from Merrimack College.

Dick Seale
Account Executive

Dick joined RPI in 1996 after more than 21 years of direct sales experience in New England with ITT Cannon. He had also been an ITTC senior sales engineer, working primarily with military accounts and earning numerous awards for sales and technical and program development. Prior to ITTC, he sold in the electrical hardware industry. Dick earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

  • Community/volunteer involvement: Former Boy Scout Leader
  • Favorite pets: Adopted rescued Golden Retriever Barley who comes to the office occasionally for Doggy Day

Gregg Golembeski
Account Executive, CT and Eastern NY

Gregg joined the RPI team in the Spring of 2010. He has held sales and management positions for more than 24 years in Electronic Distribution. In the mid 1980s, Gregg worked for Car-la Electronics as an Inside Sale Representative and then transitioned to become the Office Manager for the CT office. After Newark Electronics acquired Car-Lac, Gregg moved into the role of Outside Sales Representative managing the larger, strategic accounts for the Connecticut office. After six years, he began working with Heilind Electronics and continued there for 10 years. At Heilind, Greg was responsible for the territories of Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, and Westchester County NY. Most recently, he was the PEMCO Sales Manager (passive electromechanical and connectors). Gregg is a husband and a father of two young adult boys. Gregg attended Central Connecticut State University and received a degree in Marketing.

  • Community/ Volunteer involvement: Medical response technician and Firefighter for the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company. Active with the Boy Scouts.

Jim Scannell
Account Executive , CT and eastern NY

Jim joined RPI more than 20 years ago and brought several years of sales experience including seven years with Amphenol and 15 years with ITT Cannon. While with Amphenol, Jim covered New York State before accepting a promotion to branch manager in Greensboro, NC. Jim held various sales assignments with ITTC, including the position of sales manager for RPI. In addition to Connecticut, Jim covers the Poughkeepsie to Albany territory. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts from Parsons College.

  • Favorite vacation spots/adventures: Cape Cod and travel outside U.S.

  • On my bucket list: Break 70 on the golf course, play courses in Scotland and Pebble Beach. Maybe hike across England and other countries

Doug Pucci
Account Executive, western NY region

Doug joined RPI in 2008. He has held sales and management positions in the industry for more than 30 years and that experience has been fully concentrated within the upstate/western New York marketplace. Doug's previous employers include Arrow Electronics, Marshall Industries, and Richardson Electronics. In the role of northeast regional sales manager for Richardson, he focused on power, RF, passive/electromechanical components, and interconnect products. Doug also has experience with WiFi, point to point/multipoint, motor control, audio and RF amplifiers, and discrete semiconductors. Doug attended St. John Fisher College where he majored in Business Administration.

Dave June
Account Executive, upstate NY region

Dave joined RPI in 2006. Dave had 17 years of sales management experience in NY prior to joining our team. He worked as an account executive for a manufacturer's representative company, Jones/Sudders, for seven years before he purchased the company in 1989. At Jones/Sudders he specialized in military passive and interconnect components. Dave has also worked as a draftsperson and a sales manager at Fulton Manufacturing. Dave's educational background is in industrial drafting.

Ralph Miele
Glenair Distributor Manager

Ralph re-joined RPI in 2007 as the Glenair Distributor Manager. Ralph brings extensive experience of interconnect products and of working with distributors. He has been in the connector industry for 44 years and had before worked with Richard Purinton, Inc. for many years. Ralph also managed regional distributor east coast sales at Amphenol, managed connector products at Time Electronics, and had also done field sales for a Connecticut-based distributor.

  • Community/volunteer involvement: Knights of Columbus Captain for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life

Phil Rolph
Distribution Sales

Phil joined RPI in 2006. Phil brings 37 years of experience selling heat-shrinkable products, wire and cable, and interconnect products in New England. He managed outside sales teams and the branch at Schaal Associates, managed product marketing and inside sales at Richey Electronics, and managed passive electromechanical products at Arrow Electronics. Phil also served in the United States Marine Core for four years as a Communications Electronics Officer after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College.

Betsy Long
Inside Sales

Betsy joined RPI in 2007 after working with us part-time and after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Women's Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Betsy provides outstanding customer service and gives quick, reliable, and informed support to our very busy team. Betsy diligently works to ensure that you, our valued business partners, receive what you need when you need it.

  • Favorite vacation spots/adventures: Glencolmcille, Co. Donegal, Ireland - A tiny ocean side village with incredible views, it was my favorite part of Ireland.
  • Favorite pets: my first dog, Bridie - the sweetest mutt in the world

Jo Morrill
Office Manager and Inside Sales

Jo joined RPI in 1991. Jo is responsible for key commercial and military accounts as well as coordinating and completing all that is needed in terms of principals' forecasts, rep. reviews, lead follow-ups, and more. She gives great customer sales and service while simultaneously managing our office with tremendous efficiency. Jo worked for several years as a business manager and office manager for a large dental practice before joining our team. She earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from New Hampshire College.

  • Favorite vacation spots/adventures: Plum Island will always be a favorite destination; Boston to Bermuda cruise; Disney is always an adventure -but not always a good one!
  • Community/volunteer involvement: Very involved in my daughter's public charter school, Hill View Montessori in Haverhill, MA.
  • Favorite pets: Our adopted bunny Saber because he acts so much like a dog (without the barking and $ veterinary visits)
  • On my bucket list: Trip to Ireland to see where my grandparents were born and raised.

Andrea Kramer
Business Development

Andrea rejoined RPI in 2008, after working with us in the late 1990's. Andrea is responsible for prospecting to companies, both new and established ones, and stirring interest in our principals' products. Andrea connects with new customers, oversees marketing efforts, supports IT, and assists inside sales. Andrea worked for several years in the behavioral health field after working in inside sales and distribution support for another manufacturer's rep. Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts from Holy Cross College and Master of Arts from Lesley University.

  • Favorite vacation spots/adventures: Any beach or forest; Bern, Switzerland; my parents' backyard; the coast of Maine.
  • Community/volunteer involvement: Cancer Relay For Life Captain
  • Favorite pets: Dick's dog Barley, my formers Lady and Jack, and any dog that will let me pat him/her! (though they have to be a lot larger than a loaf of bread)
  • On my bucket list: publish non-fiction; play a baby grand daily; travel lots!; ski a black diamond trail; have a solar-powered vegetable & grain farm with at least 6 dogs, 2 pet cows, and nope, no chickens!;
